Tour Atlantic - Introduction
Maritimers are said to be the happiest people in Canada. Find out why on Tour Atlantic. Tour Atlantic is a two week, supported cycling expedition that travels through some of the oldest European settlements in the country. This ride takes you to must-see attractions in the Atlantic Canada provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Starting in Halifax, we travel through Nova Scotia's south shore, then overland to the Annapolis Valley and cross the Bay of Fundy by ferry to New Brunswick. A ride through the Fundy and Northumberland Straits regions of New Brunswick leads to the bridge to Prince Edward Island, the birthplace of Canadian Confederation. After another ferry, it’s on to the world famous Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, concluding the ride in Baddeck.
We take quiet side roads, bike paths and country roads as much as possible to avoid traffic congestion. Accommodation will be mainly camping
