Tour Pacific
Tour Pacific is a bicycle tour developed by Cycle Canada, The Veloforce Corporation that travels through some of the most diverse terrains on the continent - from ocean coast to cattle country to high mountains. Scenery ranges from dense coastal forest to rugged rock canyons to alpine meadows. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of mountains and glaciers. On this tour we travel along the world famous Icefields Parkway.
Cycle Canada's Tour Pacific is a supported tour and accommodation is mainly camping.
In 2010 we will again offer an indoor option. There are a limited number of places for this option, please register early in order to guarantee a spot.
Cyclists travel through regions where flora and fauna are protected. Services in sensitive areas can be minimal. We stay in no-service campgrounds on one or two nights, on other nights there will be hot showers and power. It is one of our more challenging tours.
We limit the number of riders on this trip to 24. We don't want you to get lost in a crowd and and we do want to eliminate line-ups at conveniences such as showers where we stay overnight. For the camping option we also include a number of indoor stays in cities where there are lots of off-bike tourist attractions.
